Enver Aysever's lawyer's harsh response to Özgür Özel and Rıza Akpolat

"You cannot intimidate me with this slander. The sons of mothers who grew up in this land with their labor will not succumb to slander."

Making his defense on the 6th day of the 1st hearing in the bribery case against the Aziz İhsan Aktaş Crime Organization, dismissed Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat said, “I was told, ‘Talk about the CHP Congress, become a confessor. We will clean the Beşiktaş file’. I was even given until May. I didn't speak. Anyway, whatever happened happened after May. I didn't talk because I thought about the children of 86 million, not my two daughters.“.

It's private: They will all be held accountable

Following Akpolat, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel took this claim further in a live broadcast and claimed that the person who made the offer was the lawyer of journalist Enver Aysever, without naming him.

Özel said the following on the issue:

“They threaten Rıza Akpolat with everyone they can find, his family, everything, and make him slander them. But there is not a single piece of evidence, not a blind penny. For nearly 700 years, I say this; our brother Rıza said this there, looking them in the eye. ‘They sent me a lawyer,‘ he said. They said, ’Slander me about the CHP congress, get out immediately.‘ I am here because I didn't.‘ Rıza Akpolat is there because of his party affiliation. There is something very clear. They tried the congress of the Republican People's Party many times, it failed. They put 700 years on Rıza Akpolat, then send a lawyer so that when that lawyer's name comes out, the prosecutor can take action, ’Which lawyer is this? Everyone will see. Are they in collusion or is he deceiving her? It's about the journalist friend who allegedly made a backhanded gesture to Ekrem İmamoğlu in Sabah newspaper in a place where there was 25 meters between them and everyone witnessed it... However, he only said ’Thank you, President‘. The slandering lawyer. Or I visited the journalist friend. We hugged at the beginning and at the end. We had a camera on us. He said, ’You created a miracle after March 19, Mayor. Supposedly, he told me, ‘You can be relocated, you can go to jail,’ a lot of things... The lawyer who made those slanders went to Rıza Akpolat and told him, ‘Lie in the congress case. Get free’. I will only say ‘Oh’ on the day all of them are put on trial. I know them all, I follow them all. I know the person who slandered them in that Sabah newspaper. I know what the lawyer he relied on was involved in, I know what happened. They will all be held accountable. ‘

Aysever's lawyer Dilbaz responds to both Özel and Akpolat

Following Özgür Özel's statement, journalist Enver Aysever's lawyer Mikayil Dilbaz responded to the CHP leader with a post on his social media account.
“I am making these statements independently of my client Enver Aysever,” Dilbaz said, using harsh words for Özgür Özel.

Lawyer Mikayil Dilbaz made the following statement in response to Özgür Özel:

“You are using my name on television screens to circulate two separate lies at the same time. The first one is: “Go to Rıza Akpolat and explain the facts at the congress, he said he was cleared of this case”. This is outright slander. I am a lawyer. Neither my power, nor my authority, nor my morals allow me to do such a thing.

Whoever says that I had such a conversation with Reza and whoever serves this lie is dishonest and dishonorable. You have become accustomed to perception, slander and distortion in the face of allegations of theft. My stance is clear and unambiguous: My tweets are clear. I was the first person to say “Rıza Akpolat should come out and make a statement”. In other words, your scenario has collapsed from the beginning. Your second lie is to call me a “liar”.

Impertinent! I'm not a witness to the incident. I did not testify on behalf of anyone. I made a legal and political evaluation on behalf of my client. If you draw the conclusion “liar” from this, I'm sorry, this is a problem of intelligence. And I especially add this: Since you are used to stabbing your comrades in the back, since you have gained a seat with lies and slander, you know everyone as you do. Don't, don't. This language, this morality does not befit a person sitting in the chairmanship of the Republican People's Party.

Let me remind you of a Münir Özkul line at the end: “Look sir, you have your factory, your yacht, your floor... don't touch us.” You, too, have media, an executive car, money, and friends who have been accused of theft. But there is one thing I have that you don't: dignity and honor. Know this very well.”

A short while later, Mikayil Dilbaz responded to the arrested Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat.

His response to Akpolat is as follows:

“CHP Chairman Özgür Özel appears on TV; without naming me, he implies that “a lawyer went to Rıza Akpolat and told him to accept the congress case and your corruption cases would be closed” and accuses me of being a liar. This allegation is a complete lie.

I am telling you frankly: I have never said such a thing to Rıza Akpolat, and Rıza Akpolat has never made such a statement. Then I ask: Months have passed. If there was such a thing, why hasn't it been disclosed until now? Did it come to mind during the trial? If it was true, would it be remembered today and not then? You think everyone is like you because you are used to the tradition of making heroes out of theft. Everyone knows the truth. You know it, I know it:

I came to the prison months ago at your request, at the request of Onur Kansu, the former Fatih Youth Branch President. I did not take your case. Although I was offered 200,000 USD as a lawyer's fee, I refused. Are you now ignoring and denying all of this and building “heroism” with an unfounded narrative? Let's come to the Enver Aysever issue: You are playing on me and spreading lies to distort the story. You do not have the courage to speak the truth about Enver Aysever; you cannot afford to refute him. That's why you deflect the target and put me in the center.

There is a saying in Anatolia: “When they can't afford the master, they hit the servant.” Last word: You cannot intimidate me with this slander. The sons of mothers who grew up in this land with their labor will not succumb to slander. Know this well. Note: Those who stab their companions in the back, those who take their dignity from the seat they sit in, those who gain position with chameleon politics....

My word to all of you, I don't want to get into these issues outside of my profession as a lawyer, but if you lie about me in order to justify yourselves, I swear that I will disgrace you all...Period...”
