Fatih Portakal, while commenting on the IYI Party's decision to run candidates in 81 provinces independently of the alliance in the local elections, used statements that will anger the party administration in Sözcü TV Main News bulletin.
Fatih Portakal, who has been targeting opposition leaders, especially Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, with heavy words since the elections, made the following statements about İYİ Party's decision:

“Nobody trusts. No one will go. I always say I'm talking about a fickle party anyway. I don't trust the IYI Party either. I don't give much credence to that decision of 81 provinces. I guess they will find a way of communication.”

IYI Party Antalya MP Uğur Poyraz reacted to Fatih Portakal's remarks.
Poyraz responded to Portakal on his social media account as follows:
“Freedom of the press, freedom of expression and freedom of thought is one thing. Tolerance of criticism in the face of criticism is also part of political responsibility. That is also OK. The video below is a political engineering effort full of arrogance, impudence and complexity. We saw this movie before the elections. This impudent person who forgets that he is performing a public duty on the screen and makes periodic career planning
He had the audacity to insult IYI Party President Ms. Meral Akşener, its executives, its organizations and its voters. This person, who lacks professional ethics, is not a member of our honorable press in our eyes, but an apparatus trying to design politics.”
