In a video message on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the founding of the AK Party, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reiterated their determination to fight inflation and their commitment to increase the welfare of the nation. Erdoğan said, “We are aware that the cost of living caused by the effects of global crises on our country has been challenging our nation recently. We will succeed in the fight against inflation again.”.
Erdoğan also touched upon the difficult processes that Turkey has been going through and emphasized that they have been making intense efforts to cope with events such as earthquakes and terrorism. Stating that after the February 6 earthquakes, they have undertaken a great burden for the reconstruction of the affected regions, Erdoğan said that they will continue to observe justice and the rights of everyone while overcoming this challenge.
Erdogan also said that Turkey has struggled with difficult periods in the past and that the Gezi events were part of dark scenarios that wanted to negatively affect the country. Describing terrorist organizations such as the PKK, FETO and ISIS as traps set against Turkey, Erdoğan said that they were successful in overcoming such threats thanks to the unity and solidarity of the nation.
Referring to the local elections, Erdoğan said that in the local elections to be held in March 2024, his party will tell the citizens about the games against them and that they will break these games with their success. Stating that they will expose the true faces of those who try to hide the performance deficiencies in the municipalities, Erdoğan said that they will take the trust of the people from those who they do not deem worthy and hand it over to more capable and effective managers.
At the end of his message, Erdoğan expressed his belief that, looking to the future with hope, they will celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the founding of his party with the enthusiasm of the March 2024 election victory.
