Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu shared the projects realized, ongoing and planned in Esenyurt Haramidere in four years. Esenyurt Mayor Kemal Deniz Bozkurt, 30 neighborhood mukhtars, representatives of non-governmental organizations and associations, and residents of the district took their places in the meeting where the projects in the “New New Investments New Breakthroughs” process were also explained.

“They piled one million cubic meters of excavation under an astroturf belonging to Esenyurt Municipality. They built an artificial turf field on top of it for a very small amount of money and made it a so-called sports field for Esenyurt Municipality. What excavation is this? The excavation from those buildings over there. Was it dumped for free? No, it wasn't. It was dumped for a lot of money. Whose pockets did it go into? All of this should be investigated. Now we have to remove that soil again and build a road, build a stream because it floods. If we don't, people will die. This is just a picture of betrayal in the last 15-20 years.

Look at these expenditures we are making for you right now, those 7-8-10 billion liras are coming out of your pockets. They come out of our pockets. They are our money. It comes out of the pockets of beautiful children and puts them in debt. This nation will not tolerate those who squander the nation's money, those who waste the nation's money, those who think that the nation's money is their own money. Neither in Esenyurt, nor in Istanbul, nor anywhere else, you will never give those rulers a pass.
Look, in four years, neither we nor Esenyurt Municipality has received a penny lira from any institution of the state, any financial institution, the Bank of Provinces. This is a partisan attitude. Discriminating with the people's money is neither moral nor religious. Nevertheless, we will continue to do our work with care and respect. We will finish the works we have started quickly. Inshallah, when we come to the end of the term with a very beautiful view, we will all enjoy the pleasure of changing life in this region together.”
