The Republican Congress, founded under the leadership of the Assembly of People's Representatives of Turkey (THTM), announced the “Liberation Program” in Ankara.
The Coordination Board of the Republican Congress shared the news with the public at a press conference held at the Mülkiyeliler Union in Ankara.
The Board's public statement is as follows:
“Dear People,
We have long since lost secularism, independence, the social state, organized labor, the right of the people to vote, and therefore the Republic.
On May 24-25, 2025, republicans with the same concerns but coming from different traditions came together at the Republican Congress to create a common language and road map. After the Assembly, where different approaches were expressed in a very mature atmosphere, it was decided to continue the process of unity of the Republicans with a sense of historical responsibility. The Coordination and Advisory Boards of the Republican Congress continued their work uninterruptedly.
Six working groups came together at the November 23, 2025 Liberation Program Workshop on the difficult topics on the unity of the Republicans and gave the current form to the Liberation Program of the Republican Congress, which is now shared with the press and our people. After the press release, the program, which consists of six titles, will be shared with our people at every point where we can meet them and their feedback will be evaluated.
On the other hand, we have started our work for the Republican Congress-2026. In order to complete the shortcomings of the Liberation Program, working groups will take responsibility in many topics such as health, education, science and university, industry, agriculture and planning, media, youth and women in a working republic, programs in sub-headings will be prepared with the widest participation and opportunities will be created to receive feedback from our people at many points and the Republican Congress will be convened in June 2026.’
