You don't need to scrutinize it too closely, you can easily understand it if you watch it carefully a few times. Within the opposition, there are those who pretend to be ‘opposition’, not always, but when they cannot find a place for themselves, they position themselves in this way and engage in a personalized struggle that harms everyone, without caring at all about the interests of the party and the country they are in.
They always find someone similar to themselves to ally with. Strangely enough, they all present themselves as ‘the most revolutionary’, ‘the most patriotic’, ‘the most patriotic’, ‘the most Atatürkist’ or ‘the most nationalist’, ‘the most local and national’ or any other 'most' you can think of.
From self-interest to inveterate opposition
Almost all of them have one thing in common, they are not remotely related to these titles they attribute to themselves. Especially this adjective ‘revolutionary’ is very important, because they have no tactics other than dumping from here. The food for their soul is usually a herd psychology based on ‘flatter each other as long as your interests are the same’ and ‘bury each other at the first opportunity when there is a conflict of interest’.
They have another characteristic, they are the ‘most heroic'!
These days, that is, since March 19, while the party they are a member of or were once a member of is carrying out a successful strategy despite all the attacks of the government, some are deeply unhappy... The party that is experiencing this problem the most in this process is the CHP...
As you know, an application for the annulment of the last extraordinary congress has also been filed by two party members.
It is impossible not to see that party members with this mentality do not care about the future of the country, that their only concern is to possibly overthrow the party leadership and make a place for themselves in the new administration. They have neither ideological nor moral concerns!
This has nothing to do with the CHP's new administration, they hated the previous administration, they will hate the next one too. If they have no animosity towards the administration, then they are targeting the mayors and city council members of their own party. Because the issue is not ideological or political, in fact, it is usually self-interest and sometimes outright psychological problems!
Meaningless factions!
The organizers of this group are usually the most ambitious and the most cunning. Party resentments, local actors who see civil society as a stepping stone come together, and if they find a local journalist, the demon is unleashed.
They have a very subtle tactic, which is usually based on creating unrest. This is actually not a bad tactic, because usually some of the people they target are calculating like them... So they all have dirt that can be exposed. And so the battle begins. Usually the one who dominates the district at that moment seems to win, but both sides suffer. In the end, the party they are members of and the associations, platforms and initiatives they try to manipulate suffer serious damage. No matter, they get excited, they drag each other into the fight from the waist down. Meanwhile, the local journalist, who plays every side differently, gets the ‘soup money'. In these fights, they are digging the bottom of the abomination!
Will self-proclaimed technocrats be the solution?
One of the main problems of the party is this crowd... And the semi-technocratic semi-interest in the administration
There is a centered circle. Compared to the others, this is another group that can at least produce work, has relatively political goals, but is also focused on acting in a closed circle and doing things their own way.
‘They act as ’quarterbacks‘, ’rule makers‘ and ’project developers‘. To a certain extent, they have a functional side, this must be recognized. Because we know very well that those who are employed in district municipalities as ’so-and-so's relatives‘ have no merit other than ’gossiping‘ and ’not doing any work‘! It is neither possible for them to develop projects nor to carry out any significant work in the municipalities... Again, the self-proclaimed ’consultants‘ do not actually produce any benefit that can fill the fig nucleus, because they also benefit from municipal facilities from the quota of ’so-and-so's relative'. In other words, they do no good, but they do a lot of harm!
For this reason, more experienced and slightly more meritorious people from metropolitan municipalities are assigned to district municipalities and at least ‘successful templates’ are being implemented by municipal bureaucrats. The most familiar examples of this are ‘city restaurants’ and ‘social aids’...
Smartassery, ingratiation and selling out when push comes to shove
Because of all these problems, for a long time it has been fashionable to transfer people from outside the party when it could not find enough ‘capable’ and ‘knowledgeable’ managers from within the party. As a result, so-called ‘know-it-alls’ and ‘technocrats’ without ideology, seeking personal gain, were first placed in metropolitan municipalities and then in district municipalities after being recommended by someone.
Likewise, under the name of ‘consultants’, all the people in civil society circles who had a few words to say and a few memorizations tried to direct the municipalities with their ‘ingenious projects'.
These are the people who have degenerated the CHP's local governance principles in recent times. From interfering in the elections of city councils to animal rights, these types, who stick their noses in and ‘do their own thing’ no matter what the issue, have damaged municipalities and still do!
These cadres, who impose copycat projects, are carrying out many absurdities. While animal rights activists and animal lovers stood up against the amendments to the Law on the Protection of Animals, while slogans such as ‘Your Shelters Stink of Blood’ were being chanted in the squares, someone from the Beyoğlu Municipality, for whatever reason, bragged on social media that they would open a shelter sponsored by EspressoLab! It's another matter that they couldn't even put that shelter into operation, that's how it is...
In some districts, consultants, hand in hand with a few ambitious people in the district party leadership, do their best to destroy participatory democracy in the city council elections. What is more painful is that many of those who do this are absurd characters who identify themselves as ‘socialist’ or ‘revolutionary’...
Time to restructure the cadres
This being the case, of course, it is not confessors who benefit from effective remorse such as Murat Abbas, but slanderers, or those who are involved in corruption, such as those involved in Beşiktaş Municipality. The interesting thing is that many of them are involved in corruption with AK Party or MHP business people...
The reason why there are so many of these toxic assets in municipalities is that the CHP's human resources are inadequate and of poor quality. For this reason, while the CHP is rising in the face of these unjust attacks by the government, it also has to renew its staff...
Much more capable cadres can be formed from new members and from within or on the periphery of the party, and now is the time. Provided, of course, that this reorganization is led by someone moral, patriotic and capable.
