BTP's enthusiastic congress... Hüseyin Baş: It will not take us 1 year to solve all issues

The Independent Turkey Party held an enthusiastic congress in Ankara.
BTP's 9th Ordinary Congress was organized at Taha Akgül Sports Hall in Keçiören with the slogan “We are the future, we will come”.
Thousands of people took their places in the hall from 10.00 am.
Thousands of party members who did not fit into the hall welcomed BTP Chairman Hüseyin Baş outside.
Addressing them in his first speech, the BTP leader said, “You stayed outside, you stayed in the cold. Even though we asked for very big halls, they did not allocate them to us. We applied many times, they told us “no”, this table is your work, watch this. Independent Turkey does not fit in the halls.”.

In the hall where folk dances were performed and historical anthems were sung, a cinevision show was also made.
1340 delegates voted in the congress and Hüseyin Baş, who attended the congress as the sole candidate, made the following speeches:

“We are the future, we will come”

“O rising new generation, you are the future. We founded the Republic, you are the ones who will raise it and keep it alive.” We heeded this command of our ancestor, this call of our ancestor and we said: ”We are the future, we are the future."

“Those who make people in need of a bowl of soup are opening a soup investigation against Mr. Yavaş”

Turkey has been going through a really interesting process for the last year and a half. Our friends have just read the message of Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently under arrest. Today we are in Ankara. Mr. Yavaş would have been with us today, we invited him, but as you know, he is also going through a “soup investigation”. I said: Those who make people in need of a bowl of soup are asking the mayor why he is distributing soup to the people.

“Democracy is not a system where 51 percent dominates 49 percent’

In Turkey, journalists are in jail, politicians are in jail, business people are in jail. Anyone who objects, speaks out or wants to say something to Turkey is in jail. Then what do they say: “The Republic of Turkey is a state of law.” If Turkey was a state of law, you wouldn't have to say this 50 times a year. We would understand it, we would live it. With all due respect, democracy is not a system where 51 percent dominate 49 percent. Democracy is not a system where the rights of the opposition are ignored. Democracy is not a system that mocks the intelligence of the nation by claiming the survival of the state. ’We got 51 percent of the votes, everything we say is right, and what you say is of no importance.’ How are you going to ignore this crowd? We have complaints, we have complaints about the law, we have complaints about justice, we have complaints about education, we have complaints about the economy, we are worried about our future. What do we need to do for you to hear this?

“Turkey needs democracy to be free of terrorism”

They want Turkey to be terror-free, Turkey without terror. So what is understood from all this is that in order for Turkey to be terror-free, it has to be democracy-free, that's what I understand. For Turkey to be terror-free, it has to be lawless. It has come down to this.

“The most conservative government opens the Heybeliada Seminary”

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin is the subject of much controversy. He said: “I sincerely wish the opening of the Heybeliada Seminary.” In other words, the most conservative minister of Turkey's most conservative government, according to their own rhetoric, is opening the Heybeliada Seminary. In other words, they said for a long time that they would raise a religious generation, I never thought that those religious people were Christian religious people.

“This country is so rich that it will not take us 1 year to solve all the issues”

A private company has found a gold mine. Blessedly, gold is gushing out from all over the country and citizens are broke. Therefore, our country also has an economic solution. Look, if I were to look at this country from the outside as someone who does not know this country, I would say that it is impossible to work here because it is going downhill. But I swear to God, this country is such a strong country, this country is such a rich country that it will not take this staff a year to solve all the problems of this country. I swear we can solve them, I swear we can solve them. Therefore, what Turkey needs is the National Economy Model. As BTP, we will implement the National Economy Model.

“Prof. Dr. Haydar Baş first introduced the citizenship pension in 2004”

The National Economy Model is being talked about. What is it called: “Citizen salary.” It is said all over the world. When my father first said this, they supposedly ignored it. He came out for the first time in 2004 and said, “I will give all my citizens a citizenship salary.” They said, “No such thing.” Now the whole world is talking about “basic income, universal basic income.”

“We are setting out to build a strong country on Atatürk's path”

We want our country to be strong. If you say strong Turkey, that strong Turkey depends on the Turkish nation being strong. The state cannot be strong when the nation is in poverty. Explain it as much as you want. You cannot be a strong state if your passport is not passed around, if you have no money in your pocket, if your word is not listened to. The Independent Turkey Party has set out from Ankara today to build a strong Turkey on Atatürk's path, to build a strong Turkey again. May it be auspicious.
