CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made evaluations on the agenda at the first group meeting of the new year. Emphasizing that they will continue their struggle for power in the last part of his speech, Özel gave a remarkable message regarding the boycott they implemented after March 19.

Özel made the following statements:
“We hoped that 2026 would be the year of a brand new beginning. We will take some steps in our favor. But this is the environment of the world and Turkey in this tense environment. But let's say this: After March 19, we boycotted those who did not hear or see us. Some have seen their ratings drop to 0.65, some have seen their turnover drop by a quarter. Some with our MPs, some elsewhere; ’Can we get out of this boycott?’ Not this, this, this; we tell them all at once. Here is a white page in 2026. I emptied your report card. In 2026, we will read the language of the news, we will read those who make slander worse than the slanderer, and those who report like journalists as per their education. Every criticism is welcome. Özgür Özel had previously announced that EspressoLab, which was on the boycott list, was removed from the list because company officials had offered to help the families of March 19 detainees. The company, on the other hand, had publicly stated that they had no such offer.
