In the last few days, we have been seeing news that the Republican People's Party has increased its votes significantly in some provinces, including Malatya. Almost ninety percent of the comments under a news article published in the Malatya press today ask the same question:
“Who did they ask to make this news?”
I really ask the same question: Who was asked about this study?
Dear friends;
As the Doğanşehir Villages Environmental Platform, we have been waging a very serious struggle against the stone and mining quarries that have besieged our region for a long time. This struggle is directly a struggle for life. Moreover, ninety percent of the people living in this region vote for the Republican People's Party.
However, in this just struggle against stone and mining quarries, we have been persistently ignored and ignored, even though we have repeatedly conveyed the situation to the party administration and MPs.
One has to ask: Where and how exactly was the increase in votes achieved while the party remained silent on an issue on which the public was so clear?
Or is it precisely this insensitivity?
Dear fellow Malatian citizens, Dear Republican People's Party volunteers;
Who is being asked about the claim that there has been a significant increase in votes in Malatya?
Personally, I am in the field more than a member of parliament. I am in touch with my fellow citizens, I have a finger on the pulse. I would like to be happy for the party, but unfortunately the reality on the ground does not match the picture reflected in the media.
On the contrary, I see that a very large mass of people who have devoted years and lifetimes to the Republican People's Party have become resentful, offended and stepped aside. This situation deeply saddens me and raises serious concerns for the future.
There is an old saying: “The hungry rooster thinks he is in the corn threshing floor.”
I think that's what these media-pumped asparagus success stories are like.
It is necessary to ask:
What did the Republican People's Party do for the people on the ground that increased its vote share so much?
Can't we see it, or is it being done in secret?
In a country where the minimum wage is 28,075 TL and pensions have just reached the level of 20 thousand TL; by collecting 5 thousand TL from people “we bring people together at the public table” under the name of "economic realities" that do not correspond to the economic realities of the people?
Or were there concrete and lasting policies that really touched very broad segments of society?
Within the party, many of our comrades from the left, social democratic and revolutionary traditions who sincerely fought for power were expelled, marginalized and marginalized in some places. “boogeyman-boogeyman” and was expelled from the party.
How can the claim that the votes increased despite this be explained?
My request to the authorities is this:
If a genuine and convincing explanation is given on this issue, I would really like to rejoice on behalf of my party.
Mazlum Kutlu
