Isn't the US goal in Iran regime change?

"I have received information from reliable sources that the US is not aiming for regime change in Iran at this stage and that this is not realistic."

US President Donald Trump said he had received assurances from sources on the “other side” that the Tehran government would stop killing protesters, and therefore could postpone attacking Iran for the time being.

“We have been told that the killing in Iran has stopped,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday. Asked if military action was off the agenda, Trump said he would “monitor the situation” and “see how the process unfolds.” “But we've gotten a very good, very good explanation from people who know what's going on,” Trump said.

WHAT IS THE AIM OF THE USA?

Hurriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi, citing security sources in Ankara, said that the US is not aiming for a regime change in Iran at this stage.

The relevant section of Selvi's article based on security sources is as follows:

“The information does not support the thesis that the US is aiming for regime change in Iran. I used to think differently, but the information I have received from reliable sources is that the US is not aiming for regime change in Iran at this stage and that this is not realistic. There is no regime change by sending warplanes. They say that striking Iran will not topple the regime, on the contrary, it will unite Iranians. In other words, it is not that it will topple Khamenei, overthrow the Mullah regime and bring in the Shah's son.”

USA'S CONDITIONS

So what do you want?

1- Iran should cease nuclear activities,

2- If he still has enriched uranium after the 12 Day War, he should hand it over,

3- Soften its rhetoric against Israel,

4- And, of course, end the harsh crackdown on dissidents on the streets.

But has Iran received these messages? Will it be able to solve this problem through dialog without the need for US intervention?
