For those who are chatting with shady people in the New Year...
Years pass
People grow old, dreams fade, some dreams never come true.
But nothing changes:
For whom the dreams are built.
This is where the difference between those who prioritize society and those who prioritize themselves begins.
A politician's signature in history is measured not by how many years he or she has been in office, but by which injustice he or she stood against and which injustice he or she did not share.
Some stand for truth and justice.
Some embrace corruption, theft, the “it will do” ethos.
Some pursue social interests.
Some are in a hurry to guarantee their own interests and the future of their children.
You called 2025 the ’Year of the Family“, we get it.
But it would have been better if you had not buried your family in politics, rent and interest relations.
By saying that the family is sacred, we probably did not mean plundering the public sector, normalizing nepotism, legitimizing the crony-sergeant order.
Tomorrow comes and goes.
So is the new year...
But the real issue is this:
“The trick is not to say ”he stole but he worked".
The real honor is to be able to say, “He didn't steal, he didn't let anyone steal, all he did was to serve the country.”.
May the new year bring hope, yes.
But hope is measured by the table, not by speeches.
That no child goes to bed hungry,
Mothers don't have to worry about what to cook today,
It is not enough to wish for a country where fathers are honorable, not forgetful.
For that there is a price to pay.
A small suggestion for MPs:
Try living on minimum wage for a year, not a month.
See the grocery receipt.
Pay the rent.
Give the child pocket money.
Postpone the electricity bill.
Maybe then you will understand what it means to be the voice of millions.
Maybe that year will be really festive.
Come on, MPs, let this year be your advance.
You've been living off the dole for years.
But know that as long as you get an advance,
People's hopes are being stolen in this country.
And remember:
Stealing hope is a bigger theft than money.
