Something happened in this country.
Not gradually... Not unnoticed at all...
Everyone broke down at the same time.
The rich are restless, the poor exhausted, the young hopeless, the working tired.
And for the first time, it's not just the economy, it's not just politics.
The balance of life as a whole has been lost.
Anyone who tries to explain today's situation in Turkey under a single heading is mistaken.
“It is not enough to say ”the economy is bad".
“To say that ”politics is tense" is an understatement.
Because this is not a crisis in one area.
A corrosion of all layers of the system.
There are rules but no trust.
There are institutions but no faith.
Processes seem to work but do not produce results.
It is here that society begins to unravel unnoticed.
Look carefully...
People are no longer unhappy just because they cannot make ends meet.
Even if he gets by, he is not at peace.
Because it's not about money alone.
The issue is the loss of a sense of reciprocity.
You work but you don't get paid.
You look right, but you are not appreciated.
You are patient but you can't move forward.
And here's the most offensive thing:
No one believes that this situation is temporary anymore.
The balance of a society is maintained by three things:
Fairness, predictability and labor-value balance.
Today all three are weakened.
Justice is questionable,
if tomorrow is unpredictable,
and labor produces no results...
Society is not only impoverished.
It dissolves from the inside.
Because one doesn't just want to live;
he wants to feel that he's moving forward.
The economy is part of this picture, yes.
But it is not the only explanation.
Because today even those with high incomes are restless.
Because fear does not only come from empty pockets,
from the ground shifting.
You are starting a business but you are not sure if you can sustain it.
You buy a house but you don't know what it will be worth tomorrow.
You raise a child but you cannot predict what kind of country it will grow up in.
This cannot be measured in numbers.
This is a direct loss of a sense of trust in life.
This is where the most dangerous break begins:
No one says it out loud, but everyone feels it-
we are not safe in this system.
What guarantee today,
what's clear tomorrow,
nor is the labor certainly worthwhile.
People don't take risks anymore.
He is retreating.
It is shrinking.
It gets quieter.
And when a society becomes silent...
dissolution accelerates.
This is exactly the picture we see on the streets today:
No one is fighting but everyone is tense.
No one is shouting but everyone is angry.
Nobody says they have given up, but everybody has given up a little bit.
Smiles are short, conversations superficial, hopes cautious...
This is not a state of explosion.
This is the silent phase of an order that is collapsing from within.
And perhaps the most critical issue is this:
This picture did not happen in a day.
It came with small little normalized mistakes.
“Let's keep quiet about this too”...
“Now is not the time”...
“It doesn't touch us”...
Every silence,
every acceptance,
every ignored injustice...
It prepared the ground for today's great erosion.
It is not wealth that sustains a society.
It is a sense of justice, a sense of balance, a sense of reciprocity.
When they disappear
Before people became poor
it loses its meaning.
And a society that has lost its meaning,
quietly disperses.
The most dangerous thing is this:
When the disintegration begins, no one remembers the first moment.
