Today is Eid.
There will be a knock on the door in the morning.
Neighbors who normally don't even say hello,
will be celebrating Eid at the door.
A hand will be extended.
Eye to eye.
Voices will soften.
Because on Eid we remember that we are human.
Today no one will be harsh with anyone.
No one will scold anyone in the hospital.
No one will run over anyone in traffic.
People will not try to oppress each other at work.
For one day, everyone will behave as they should.
And nothing will spoil.
No one will be harmed.
The world will not collapse.
Even the opposite
man will become a little more human.
And what happens on other days
“We say we are busy.
“We say, ”We are tired".
“Life is hard,” we say.
That's right.
But it is not enough.
Because one does not become hurtful just because one is tired.
He does not act unjustly just because he is forced to.
At some point this
it becomes a habit.
Because in this system, the hard one moves faster.
He who raises his voice is right.
Those who are close get ahead of those who deserve it.
And we are getting used to it.
On Eid, we pause, we get ourselves in order.
For one day, no one is trying not to offend anyone.
For one day everyone gets a little better.
So it can be done.
So it is not a question of not knowing.
Want.
What would change if life was a holiday
It's not that big of a deal.
People didn't tire each other so much.
No one would be a burden on anyone.
Those who had power did not try to oppress.
Everyone is fine today.
We see it every year.
So it is time to say it clearly
It's not that people don't know how to be good.
He doesn't just choose to be good every day.
This is the issue.
It's actually not difficult.
To remain the same even when tomorrow is not a holiday.
To act right even when no one is looking.
To be fair even when it doesn't suit you.
A human being
not according to the calendar
lives according to his conscience.
To those who remember this
Happy Eid.
