Imamoğlu, who was accompanied by his wife Dilek Kaya Imamoğlu and CHP Elazığ Deputy Gürsel Erol, answered the questions of journalists during the visit and said, “I claim that when the 5 years are over, we will demonstrate with figures and statistics that we are the strongest, most productive, most intertwined with the society and the most democratic administration in the history of the Republic of Turkey. I understand that we are facing a government that compares us with the past 25 years. It is only natural for them to turn so many arrows and intensify so much criticism against a team that shows such a performance in a province they lost after 25 years, but on the contrary, we are both producing work in our city and providing good services in every point of our country.”.
‘WE ARE BUILDING AN ELABORATE SQUARE IN AN IMPORTANT CENTER’
Answering the questions of journalists about his visit to Tunceli, İmamoğlu said, “Today, if you are aware, my wife and I dressed a little sportswear because we wanted to go on a touristic trip and get to know Tunceli better. We have promised many times, we have a plan to see some of its districts and visit some belief centers. We are getting to know our city, our whole country well and we are also experiencing how to serve the sensitivities and feelings of our people in every point of our country. A week and 10 days later I will be in Hacı Bektaş, where we are working very diligently. One or two weeks after that, we will have finished a very elaborate square in Eceabat, in that important center where Çanakkale martyrs are located. Getting to know Tunceli, getting to know Van, getting to know Sinop, getting to know Nevşehir, getting to know our other cities, cooperating with them, as much as possible, offers us very valuable opportunities, but sometimes it does not reach the levels we desire in the busy agendas of our country. We aim to be an administration that closes this in the coming years.”.
‘WE WILL SHARE OUR LOVE AND RESPECT FROM NAZIMİYE WITH OUR ESTEEMED PRESIDENT’
Upon the words of a journalist about his visit to Tunceli: ‘When Tunceli is mentioned, President Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu also comes to mind, it is also his hometown, eyes were looking for him with you’, İmamoğlu said the following:
“We didn't make such a plan. If we had, we would have come and visited with our President, but I will also visit Nazımiye, the birthplace and hometown of our President. We have finished a very valuable guesthouse there. We will visit that too. We will get to know Nazimiye better. We will also share our love and respect with Mr. President from there. We are always in the field. There is not a second I have not been in the field for 14 years. If I am not among the citizens, I feel uneasy. I mean, this is in Istanbul but in another part of the country. You feed on people. You see the truth from them. You receive criticism from them. You commiserate, confront and renew yourself. No one who is far from the society and citizens can achieve success. In this context, I am always in the field.”
